Additionally, more cover has been added to the Dismantled Hull area to protect from Battlefield 2042 players sniping from the Colossus deck at the center of the map.

The patch notes express that this change along with added structures will help better bridge the north and south areas of Discarded. To help combat this further, DICE is nudging the flag at the Antenna area north, closer to the Flooded Village. Battlefield 2042's launch maps have been criticized by players for having too many open areas with too little cover, it looks like DICE is addressing that issue here. A new flag-bearing Salvage Yard area will replace a formerly empty field to the northwest which will provide players on foot more cover against the danger of enemy vehicles. Three main areas of the Discarded map will see improvements. Part of the rework will see the addition of more control flags to the map as well as the relocation of some existing flags. The industrial map is home to a massive graveyard of several large disheveled ships as well as a flooded village that players fight for control over.
